David Ayastuy

Managing Partner

David Ayastuy is founder and managing partner of Unicorn Strategic Partners, a firm specialized in the distribution of investment funds in US Offshore and Latin America. Before launching Unicorn, he worked for over 15 years as a head-hunter specializing in international private banking and asset management. He began his professional career at Barclays Bank and Deutsche Bank. He has a degree in Business Administration and an executive PDD from IESE.

Florencia Bunge

Partner, Head of Sales LATAM

Florencia Bunge is a Partner and Head Latam Distribution for Unicorn Strategic Partners. She is responsible for sales and distribution of investment products represented by the group in the Latam Wholesale market. Prior to joining, Florencia was a Senior Vice President and Head of Latam Sales at Pioneer Investments since 2001. She was responsible for sales, marketing and distributor relationships within South America including Peru, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. Before joining Pioneer Investments in 2001, she served as Vice President of Sales for Credit Suisse in New York in the Latin America division. Florencia graduated as Doctor in Economics in UBA, Argentina.

Mike Kearns

Partner, Head of US Offshore

Mike Kearns is a Partner and Head of US Offshore Distribution for Unicorn Strategic Partners. He is responsible for sales and distribution of investment products represented by the group in the US Offshore market. Prior to joining Unicorn, Mike was a Senior Vice President and Regional Director for the Permal Group. He was responsible for sales, marketing and distributor relationships within Canada, the U.S., Central and South America. Before joining the Permal Group in 2000, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for BNP Paribas - Latin America division. Mike also held various sales and product development positions at Merrill Lynch, both in U.S. Retail and International Marketing. He is a licensed registered representative (series 7, 63) and registered with the FCA in the UK. Mike is a graduate of Hofstra University.

Carlos Ravachi

Carlos is an accomplished investment specialist with a proven ability to develop and execute business and sales strategies in the global financial services industry. Broad experience at the key wealth management firms (Wells Fargo, Advisors, UBS, Morgan Stanley, Merrill, Santander, Citi, BBVA) and the pension funds and insurance companies in Latin America.

Eduardo Ruiz-Moreno

Eduardo is Partner at Unicorn Strategic Partners and responsible for institutional and retail clients in Chile He also provides the sales and client servicing for the institutional markets in Peru and Colombia Prior to joining Unicorn in 2017 Eduardo spent 10 years with Edmond de Rothschild responsible for all of the asset management activities in the region including Spain, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Miami During his tenure, he raised over 2 billion of net new money in the institutional market and more than 500 million in Spain Eduardo has over 20 years of business development experience in the asset management industry with a successful and proven sales record throughout the US and Latin America He is a strategic planner and motivator who likes to work closely with his team Eduardo lives in Santiago de Chile.

Andrés Casais

Andrés is an investment professional with vast experience within asset management and financial services. Andrés has over 10 years of experience working with the world's top asset managers, such as EFG Asset Management and most recently driving Insight Investment’s (BNY Mellon) business development efforts in London, UK. Currently as a Business Development Director at Unicorn Strategic Partners, Andres oversees Business Development efforts for the group and maintains key relationships in the US Offshore market. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University a Bachelor’s Degree in Energy, Business and Finance and has a Master’s Degree in Finance from Hult International Business School (London). Andrés currently holds the ESG Certificate from CFA Society and has passed level 1 of the CFA exam.

Nicole Latorre

Hybrid Sales Manager

Nicole has been in the industry for over 16 years. Before joining Unicorn Strategic Partners, she worked at Robeco as Office Manager and Sales Support. Nicole also worked at Serfinco, BBVA and Grupo Aval in Colombia where she held different positions as wealth account manager and director of investor relations. Prior to this, she worked for Merrill Lynch in Miami from 2005 to 2011 where she assisted a private banking wealth management group. She is a licensed registered representative (series 7, 63). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Bentley University, Waltham, MA.

Katia Noriega

Katia has more than 7 years of experience. Prior to joining Unicorn, Katia was an Investment Banker in Banorte the second largest bank in Mexico, responsible for origination and structuring of DCM, ECM and structured financing transactions. Previously she was in GBM a brokerage firm in Mexico, as a Private Banker for UHNW clients. She holds a Bachelor in Economics from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Gonzalo is a Sales Manager at Unicorn Strategic Partners. He is responsible for the Montevideo office covering the Latam Retail segment catering to clients based in Uruguay, Argentina and Chile. Gonzalo has more than 13 years of experience in the financial industry having held various sales and trading roles. Prior to joining Unicorn, Gonzalo was a Sales Representative for Central America, Uruguay and Argentina at Compass Group. His clients include private banks, multi-family offices and independent financial advisers. He previously worked as a Senior Trading Specialist at Julius Baer and Merrill Lynch. Gonzalo is a Certified Public Accountant; he is a graduate of Universidad Católica del Uruguay.

She is responsible for the Montevideo office covering the Latam Retail segment catering to clients based in Uruguay, Argentina and Chile. She has over 6 years of experience, having held various roles in the financial industry. Andrea previously worked at Pro Capital Sociedad de Bolsa as FA Assistant and at Quest/ Andbank Wealth Managers holding different positions, including Back Office Assistant and Trading Desk Head. Andrea graduated as Public Translator in English from Universidad de la República of Uruguay.

Daniel is a Sales Associate at Unicorn Strategic Partners. He is responsible for the Montevideo office covering the Latam Retail segment catering to clients based in Uruguay, Argentina and Chile. Prior to joining Unicorn, Daniel was a Investment Specialist for Santander. He previously worked as a Financial Advisor at Santander. Daniel is a CFA level 3 candidate and a Certified Public Accountant; he is graduate of Universidad ORT Uruguay. He is also a professor in Universidad ORT Uruguay in the Financial Analysis professorship.

Matias is a Sales Manager at Unicorn Strategic Partners. He is member of the Chilean office covering Institutional (ex-Pension Funds) and Retails clients for Chile, Perú and Colombia. Matias has more than 7 years of experience in the financial industry having held various positions in buy side and sell side. Prior to joining Unicorn, Matias worked at LarrainVial in Chile for more than 7 years, first as Fund Selector of their Private bank and them move to their distribution team in charge of all the Offshore Mutual Funds Distribution for institutional clients ex- Pension Fund for Chile, Uruguay and Argentina clients. His clients include Insurance Companies, local Asset Manager, Private Banks, Family Offices and independent Financial Advisers. Matias holds a Bs in Economic, Business and Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Roberto is a Senior Investment Advisor at Unicorn Strategic Partners and it is responsible for the development of the quantitative sales strategy for equity and fixed income funds of asset managers (Echequier, UBP, and Muzinich) represented by Unicorn Strategic Partners to institutional investors. He is also responsible for the investment strategy for Tempus Asset Management's private banking clients, through asset allocation, fund selection and factor investing. Roberto has an outstanding career in recognized multinational and local companies. He is a professional expert in the Stock Market, Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange.

Fátima Chihiros


Sales Manager

Middle Office’s Responsible in terms of operations management and development of solutions for Unicorn Strategic Partners. Responsibilities, includes the reconciliation and management of reimbursements and AUMs of the Funds in Vontobel and BNY Mellon, as well as the accounting and administrative analysis of the company. Before the Middle Office project, Fátima worked on the analysis and formulation of Public Policies and economic studies, highlighting a history of participation in forums, interviews and in articles of economic opinion. She worked at the Central Bank of Venezuela developing economic indicators for calculating country risk and monitoring the oil market. Fátima is Economist from the Central University of Venezuela and a Specialist in Finance and Business Management. Fatima has 7 years of experience and assistance to companies, financial institutions and executives in terms of solution development, financial planning, budgeting and strategy.

Antonio Silva

Head of Digital Marketing

Antonio has over 10 years experience in the digital marketing industry. He has experience leveraging the potential of companies and individuals through the use of multiple marketing tools such as email marketing, UX/UI, and graphic design. Before joining Unicorn Strategic Partners, Antonio developed digital work for companies such as smart®, Daimler, Mercedes-Benz, Heineken, ASISA and Domino’s pizza as part of his job for digital agencies such as BBDO and Adlaida. Antonio is an Advertising & Public Relations graduate from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Sergio González

Head of Operations

Mixed, technical-economic profile. Sergio studied Computer Science at the European University of Madrid, obtaining a double degree with a specialty in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Staffordshire in the United Kingdom, where he lived for 2 years. Shortly after, he moved with a scholarship to the Commercial Office of Spain in Tel-Aviv, Israel, where he stayed another 2 years and began his studies in Economics. After returning to Spain, Sergio started in the technical department of Nfq, a technology consultancy firm, after which he moved to business administration. After studying several master’s degrees in Finance and Markets, Sergio took charge of the operations department, where he has been for the last 6 years, coordinating the technical and development section with other operational areas of the company (Labor, Logistics, Support, Accounting, Legal, Compliance and Security). Over this period, Sergio has managed to create a transversal line of work and knowledge between all areas, which streamlines operations and facilitates interconnection between them. Currently he is also leading the development of the company's internal ERP, which covers the functionalities of all departments with about 40 people in them, with which about 30 Group companies are supported, with more than 1000 employees in more than 12 countries, where the implementation in Latin America stands out. Among them, one of the most important companies, Unicorn Strategic Partner, a project in which he has been involved since its creation 5 years ago, managing all its internal operations.

Jose Quijano

Sales and distribution manager

Jose Quijano joined Unicorn Strategic Partners as a Partner. He is responsible for sales and distribution of Alternative Investment products represented by the group in the Southern Cone market, including Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay. Prior to joining, Jose was a Managing Director at Alvarium Investments (formerly Guggenheim Partners Latin America) since 2012. He co-led the Portfolio Management Team (covering Ultra High Net Worth clients) and was responsible for Private Markets analysis and Due Diligence. Before joining Alvarium Investments in 2012, he worked in Merrill Lynch for more than 10 years, covering mostly retail clients from Latin America. Jose studied Business at Universidad ORT and holds a Master’s degree of Business Administration (MBA) from IE Business School, Spain. He also completed a certification program in Private Equity and Venture Capital from IE Business School, Spain.

Enrique Lanza

SENIOR ADVISOR

Enrique is a Senior Advisor for Unicorn Strategic Partners. He is based between Mexico, South America and Miami. Enrique has been heavily involved in Unicorn's Alternative Assets Division creation, working together with the team in the product curation and defining the strategy of the firm. In addition to his role at Unicorn, Enrique is the Head of Growth and Strategy at Grupo Patio, being instrumental in establishing a number of international joint-ventures in Mexico and the US . Enrique also served as an Investment Committee Member of Aurora Industrial, co-founder of Squantox and Senior Advisor of Mattilda. Prior to joining Unicorn, Enrique worked at Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs and Citigroup in New York,Santiago and Mexico in the Investment Banking Team during 15 years, having over $100B of experience in transactions. He holds a degree in Economics from Oviedo University in Spain and a Master in Alternative Investments and Derivatives from London School of Economics.
