David Ayastuy

Managing Partner

David Ayastuy is founder and managing partner of Unicorn Strategic Partners, a firm specialized in the distribution of investment funds in US Offshore and Latin America. Before launching Unicorn, he worked for over 15 years as a head-hunter specializing in international private banking and asset management. He began his professional career at Barclays Bank and Deutsche Bank. He has a degree in Business Administration and an executive PDD from IESE.

Florencia Bunge

Partner, DIRECTOR OF US OFFSHORE & LATAM RETAIL

Florencia Bunge is a Partner and Head Latam Distribution for Unicorn Strategic Partners. She is responsible for sales and distribution of investment products represented by the group in the Latam Wholesale market. Prior to joining, Florencia was a Senior Vice President and Head of Latam Sales at Pioneer Investments since 2001. She was responsible for sales, marketing and distributor relationships within South America including Peru, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. Before joining Pioneer Investments in 2001, she served as Vice President of Sales for Credit Suisse in New York in the Latin America division. Florencia graduated as Doctor in Economics in UBA, Argentina.

Andrés Casais

SENIOR VP HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Andrés is an investment professional with vast experience within asset management and financial services. Andrés has over 10 years of experience working with the world's top asset managers, such as EFG Asset Management and most recently driving Insight Investment’s (BNY Mellon) business development efforts in London, UK. Currently as a Business Development Director at Unicorn Strategic Partners, Andres oversees Business Development efforts for the group and maintains key relationships in the US Offshore market. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University a Bachelor’s Degree in Energy, Business and Finance and has a Master’s Degree in Finance from Hult International Business School (London). Andrés currently holds the ESG Certificate from CFA Society and has passed level 1 of the CFA exam.

Carlos Ravachi

SENIOR VP OF WHOLESALE US OFFSHORE

Carlos is an accomplished investment specialist with a proven ability to develop and execute business and sales strategies in the global financial services industry. Broad experience at the key wealth management firms (Wells Fargo, Advisors, UBS, Morgan Stanley, Merrill, Santander, Citi, BBVA) and the pension funds and insurance companies in Latin America.

Nicole Latorre

VP SALES US OFFSHORE

Nicole has been in the industry for over 16 years. Before joining Unicorn Strategic Partners, she worked at Robeco as Office Manager and Sales Support. Nicole also worked at Serfinco, BBVA and Grupo Aval in Colombia where she held different positions as wealth account manager and director of investor relations. Prior to this, she worked for Merrill Lynch in Miami from 2005 to 2011 where she assisted a private banking wealth management group. She is a licensed registered representative (series 7, 63). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Bentley University, Waltham, MA.

Lucas Ryan

VP, us Offshore sales

Lucas is a Vice President at Unicorn Strategic Partners. He is responsible for the independent channel in Miami, covering the Latam Retail segment catering to clients investing offshore in the US. His clients include independent broker dealers, RIA's, and multi-family offices. Lucas has 6 years of experience in the financial industry, having held different roles. Prior to joining Unicorn, Lucas was an Investment Management Consultant at BlackRock in Miami covering the independent channel. Lucas previously worked as a Sales and Trading Associate at StoneX and as a Client Service Associate at XP Securities. Lucas is originally from Brazil and is a graduate of the University of Miami.

Gonzalo Viana

Gonzalo is a Sales Manager at Unicorn Strategic Partners. He is responsible for the Montevideo office covering the Latam Retail segment catering to clients based in Uruguay, Argentina and Chile. Gonzalo has more than 13 years of experience in the financial industry having held various sales and trading roles. Prior to joining Unicorn, Gonzalo was a Sales Representative for Central America, Uruguay and Argentina at Compass Group. His clients include private banks, multi-family offices and independent financial advisers. He previously worked as a Senior Trading Specialist at Julius Baer and Merrill Lynch. Gonzalo is a Certified Public Accountant; he is a graduate of Universidad Católica del Uruguay.

She is responsible for the Montevideo office covering the Latam Retail segment catering to clients based in Uruguay, Argentina and Chile. She has over 6 years of experience, having held various roles in the financial industry. Andrea previously worked at Pro Capital Sociedad de Bolsa as FA Assistant and at Quest/ Andbank Wealth Managers holding different positions, including Back Office Assistant and Trading Desk Head. Andrea graduated as Public Translator in English from Universidad de la República of Uruguay.

Facundo is a Sales Associate at Unicorn Strategic Partners. He is covering the Latam Retail segment catering to clients mainly based in Uruguay. Prior to joining Unicorn, Facundo was an Investment Analyst for Itaú Bank. He has more than 5 years of experience working in Banking with more than 2 years in Private Banking in Itaú and Santander. Facundo is a Certified Public Accountant graduating from the “Universidad de la República” in Uruguay with a postgraduate degree in Portfolio Management from the University of Montevideo.

Ezequiel is a Senior Vice President at Unicorn Strategic Capital and Unicorn Strategic Partners in Chile, where he executes the sales and distribution of alternative investment products to institutional investors and intermediaries in the country. Prior to joining Unicorn, Ezequiel was a Senior Private Banker in LarrainVial, a leading Chilean financial services firm, advising HNW and UHNW clients on portfolio construction across multiple asset classes. Before LarrainVial, he was an Investment Analyst at Cruz del Sur, a leading insurance Company in Chile, covering the Chilean equity market (Retail, Construction, Industrials, etc) for the buyside

Fátima Chihiros


Sales Manager

Middle Office’s Responsible in terms of operations management and development of solutions for Unicorn Strategic Partners. Responsibilities, includes the reconciliation and management of reimbursements and AUMs of the Funds in Vontobel and BNY Mellon, as well as the accounting and administrative analysis of the company. Before the Middle Office project, Fátima worked on the analysis and formulation of Public Policies and economic studies, highlighting a history of participation in forums, interviews and in articles of economic opinion. She worked at the Central Bank of Venezuela developing economic indicators for calculating country risk and monitoring the oil market. Fátima is Economist from the Central University of Venezuela and a Specialist in Finance and Business Management. Fatima has 7 years of experience and assistance to companies, financial institutions and executives in terms of solution development, financial planning, budgeting and strategy.

Antonio Silva

Head of Digital Marketing

Antonio has over 10 years experience in the digital marketing industry. He has experience leveraging the potential of companies and individuals through the use of multiple marketing tools such as email marketing, UX/UI, and graphic design. Before joining Unicorn Strategic Partners, Antonio developed digital work for companies such as smart®, Daimler, Mercedes-Benz, Heineken, ASISA and Domino’s pizza as part of his job for digital agencies such as BBDO and Adlaida. Antonio is an Advertising & Public Relations graduate from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Sergio González

Head of Operations

Mixed, technical-economic profile. Sergio studied Computer Science at the European University of Madrid, obtaining a double degree with a specialty in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Staffordshire in the United Kingdom, where he lived for 2 years. Shortly after, he moved with a scholarship to the Commercial Office of Spain in Tel-Aviv, Israel, where he stayed another 2 years and began his studies in Economics. After returning to Spain, Sergio started in the technical department of Nfq, a technology consultancy firm, after which he moved to business administration. After studying several master’s degrees in Finance and Markets, Sergio took charge of the operations department, where he has been for the last 6 years, coordinating the technical and development section with other operational areas of the company (Labor, Logistics, Support, Accounting, Legal, Compliance and Security). Over this period, Sergio has managed to create a transversal line of work and knowledge between all areas, which streamlines operations and facilitates interconnection between them. Currently he is also leading the development of the company's internal ERP, which covers the functionalities of all departments with about 40 people in them, with which about 30 Group companies are supported, with more than 1000 employees in more than 12 countries, where the implementation in Latin America stands out. Among them, one of the most important companies, Unicorn Strategic Partner, a project in which he has been involved since its creation 5 years ago, managing all its internal operations.
